The UN Global Compact Network Nigeria will hold the 2022 National Business and Human Rights Roundtable organised in partnership with Global Rights, Nigeria. The event, themed “The Implementation of the National Action Plan for Business and Human Rights in Nigeria”, will focus on the role of the business sector, government and civil society in advancing human rights in relation to business in Nigeria.

The National Business and Human Rights Roundtable is aimed at providing a forum for galvanising corporations and government agencies to support the business and human rights agenda, and in particular, strengthening the basis of a workable relationship between businesses and civil society in this regard. The Roundtable has been in the vanguard of adopting a National Action Plan (NAP) on Business and Human Rights in Nigeria, building on the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights.
