A workshop and training forum on ethics and compliance for businesses and other organizations held on March 21, 2013 in the Iris Hall of Eko Le’ Meridien, Victoria Island, Lagos. The theme was ‘The extended impact of ethics and compliance practice on business sustainability’, and was delivered by Mr. Keith Darcy, Executive Director, Ethics & Compliance Officers Association, (ECOA), USA. The Open-Space Dialogue was titled Ethics and Compliance Practice as vehicle in global Anti-Corruption Efforts. It had a panel of speakers – Ms Olajobi Makinwa, GCO New York, Mrs Juliet Ibekaku, (Nigeria Financial Intelligence Unit, Abuja) and Mr. Chukwuemeka Jideani, (Ethics and Corporate Compliance Institute of Nigeria, Abuja) speaking while, Felix Omojola (MTN), Bode Ayeku (Nestle), Mrs Deji Delano of Ethics 101 discuss the issue.
The United Nations Global Compact Network Nigeria is a business-led sustainability initiative of the United Nations Global Compact, it was launched in Nigeria in 2007 during the Nigerian Economic Summit.
