The induction session served to achieve the following objectives: 1. Ensure participants have a better understanding of the UN Global Compact and their Local Network. 2. Ensure participants are aware of the key discussions ongoing regarding the global development agenda and what role they as the private sector can play. 3. Allow for participants to provide input into what direction they want to see from the Global Compact Network Nigeria and how better the UN Global Compact can aid them in conducting responsible and inclusive business. 4. Increase understanding of the UN Global Compact’s reporting requirements for businesses and non-business organizations.
