Jointly hosted by the UN Global Compact, the Nigerian Economic Summit Group and Global Compact Local Network Nigeria, the Africa Sustainable CEO Business Roundtable brought together Africa’s chief executives, leaders in business, Government, and civil society to discuss how collective action efforts will proceed in driving the new development agenda for Africa.
The summit highlighted ways in which businesses can collectively contribute to post-2015 development in key areas, such as good governance, youth employment and empowerment, infrastructure development, and peace and security.
During the three-hour high-level luncheon event, Africa’s corporate leaders came together to discuss the importance of good leadership and collective action in promoting the continent’s development agenda.
The event showcased lessons from business leaders on how collective action has been supportive of inclusive and sustainable growth as well as highlighted the way forward for the African business community working in partnership with UN, civil society, and governments to set Africa’s development path for the future.
