Reframing Risk and Returns in Fragile Contexts

Date: 2nd July 2025
Time: 2:30 PM – 4:00 PM
Location: Side Event 19, FIBES Sevilla Exhibition and Conference Centre, Spain
The 4th International Conference on Financing for Development (FFD4) is scheduled to take place from 30 June to 3 July 2025 at the FIBES Sevilla Exhibition and Conference Centre, Spain.
FFD4 aspires to build a renewed global financing framework that will unlock greater volumes of capital at a lower cost. In Sevilla, and through this renewed framework, leaders are taking action to deliver an SDG investment push and to reform the international financial architecture to enable the transformative change that the world urgently needs.

This builds on the Addis Ababa Action Agenda from the 3rd International Conference on Financing for Development (2015), which marked a major step in the global effort to finance sustainable development, reinforcing the 2030 Agenda and its commitment to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Join us for this thought-provoking side event organized by the Global Compact Network Nigeria. The session will explore innovative strategies to reframe how risks and returns are assessed in fragile and conflict-affected settings.
As global financial systems evolve, this conversation is crucial for investors, development practitioners, private sector actors, and policymakers committed to advancing sustainable development in challenging environments.
This event is proudly supported by the Imo State Government, First Bank of Nigeria, and Small Foundation.🔗
