In continuation of the long standing partnership between the United Nations Global Compact Network Nigeria and the financial sector, led by Board Member, Nigerian Exchange Group (NGX), both organizations collaborated on 8 March 2021 to celebrate women at the 7th Annual Ring the Bell Event for Gender Equality.
The Annual Ring the Bell for Gender Equality event was hosted in collaboration with other key sustainable development partners locally and globally: UN Women, Sustainable Stock Exchanges Initiative (SSEI), International Finance Corporation (IFC), World Federation of Exchanges, and Women in ETFs (the “Global Partners”).

The SSEI is a joint initiative of the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Division on Investment and Enterprise, the United Nations Environment Programme Finance Initiative (UNEP-FI), the United Nations Global Compact, and the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) designed to build the capacity of stock exchanges and securities market regulators to promote responsible investment in sustainable development and advance corporate performance on environmental, social and governance (ESG) issues.
